This is a split screen grab of my model and a current artist that is similar.
This is a split screen grab of my model and a current artist that is similar.
This is an additional picture that shows a good resembling gesture and posture.
Posture -The posture of my model,Sally, in comparison with the other image of Taylor Momsen isn't too similar since I have made my model be completely front on to give that impression of attitude and to gain a connection with the reader. This is quite similar to my additional picture of Hayley Williams.
Gesture - The gesture being made on my model is very similar to the additional image again. After saying this, although my model and Taylor aren't doing the same pose, they are both making us immediately take notice of their face.
Angle - The angle of the camera is front on. As a said previously - this gives us the impression that the artist is confident. In addition to this, the connection between the artist and the reader is immediately obtained, resulting in a larer amount of people being interested in it.
Shot Type - For the shot type, I have used the inspiration here from the other image. They have used a mid shot to focus our attention onto their face and expression but also give us a small insight into how they dress to suggest the genre of music artist.
Lighting - Both have been shot in lighting to make the model stand out and be noticed easily. The other image of Taylor Momsen might be shot on a black background but shes still kept it high lighting.
Costume - Both have been dressed in black. This makes their faces stand out more. I didn't want my model to look too washed out though, so I made her wear a red top to brighten her up a little more.
Expression - The additional image of Hayley Williams is quite similar to the expression I wanted to get with my model. Having my model screaming - it makes us take notice a lot more.
Hair- Although, its a rock artist, the hair on all three images appear perfect and really goes well with their face. On my model and the one of Hayley, it's being scrunched up at the top but that just adds to the attitude and edge.
Make Up - The make up of my model has really been inspired by the image opposite. The black eyes really make them stand out which, to emphasise eye contact, is a good thing.
