Reseach And Planning : In The Making

Here are updated versions of my magazine. I have changed some of the things around that the examiner said I could improve on. I still need to edit the contents page at the bottom.

Research and Planning: Audience Feedback

Today we got the constructive criticism back from my audience. Some of things that was noted are:

 CONTENTS
*I don't need the 'Page' text before the numbers on my contents page which is something me and Ang had spoke about before weekend.
*The competition section at the bottom of the page looks a bit out of place, so I am going to think of something else to put in that area. I think I might keep the idea of having a competition there, but maybe not make it take up so much room. I will use examples of Kerrang magazines and Q magazines to guide me with this!


DOUBLE PAGE SPREAD
*She said that the picture in the left hand corner is a good idea but she looks a bit too poppy at the moment. This is OK though because yesterday I took my final pictures and they turned out well, so I'm going to use one of them instead I think.


FRONT COVER
*Although there wasn't much on it, something she commented on was the idea of my masthead. So I'm going to see how I can change it.

For these pictures I used the same location as the one I used to take Careys pictures, just because the quality turned out so well!

Research and Planning: Rough Plan For This Week

Well, again the pictures I took weren't very suitable for my magazine as my main model doesn't look rocked up enough. Therefore I have to take my photo's yet again. This is a predicament because there is only one SLR camera left and that one has been messed up so at the moment, we don't have any SLR camera's.

Despite of this I am still making slow progress. Here are the screenshots of my final designs so far.

With my double page spread, it is coming along quite well but at the moment,  I still don't feel it is complete. The model I have used on the left needs to be more rocky when singing maybe, although I really like the pose she is doing.

 With my contents page above, I don't think it's going too bad but something I need to change is the fact that the thing being won in my competition, includes Sally again, so this will probably get me marked down. This needs to be altered slightly

 I like the beginning of my front cover, although I can't really edit much of it right now since I am waiting for the camera's to be free at college. Once these are done, I can do my editing on Photoshop of my model, and place it on here. Then there will just be a few little bits to add and then I will be complete.

Research and Planning: Location For Final Pictures Of Sally

I am using the green room for this which is situated in college.
This is the risk assessment of my location:

Audience/Public - check that not we're not disturbing and that events such as parades, social events are on.
Access - With the green room being a college facility, there might be a few people wanting to use it; I will have to make sure it is free and arrange my dates around that.
Physical Exertion - Some of the equipment is very heavy so we will have to be careful.
Water - There is a lot of electrical equipment in there, so water mustn't be drank whilst in there.

Research And Planning: update for so far

Today (10th Jan) I took further pictures of my main model Sally. The pictures are the same as the ones previously! But this time, in focus. They didn't come out too badly but now it's just a matter of editing them.
On Friday I stayed behind and I put the pictures of Carey onto my contents page. I now just need to fill in the blanks, same with my double page spread.
